ABOUT

Still Cross is a metal/rock band from Whittier, CA. The group's lineup consists of Micah Lechuga (lead vocals/lead guitar), Jeremiah Lechuga (drums), Justin Tapia (rhythm guitar/backing vocals), and Oscar Huerta (bass/backing vocals).

Still Cross formed in late 2016 and although their music implements Christianity, they don’t classify themselves as a Christian band. Their message more consists of morality with motivational and inspiring aspects. Still Cross’s goal is to give music a powerful meaning while also being valuable and encouraging to others - aiming to connect with others and change lives.

Still Cross front man, Micah, learned guitar at a young age from his grandfather, then became self taught as he grew older. He eventually went on to playing music in churches and school, but later had the calling to write his own music in which he formed his first band, Arize.

Arize included brothers, Jeremiah, on drums and Isaiah Lechuga on bass. Arize was a christian rock band that played at local churches and party shows. As time went on, Isaiah attended college and as for Micah and Jeremiah, they continued to pursue their passion for music.

They started the band now known as Still Cross.

At first, the band included the current members Micah (lead singer/guitarist) and Jeremiah (bass). Close friend, Philip Acosta, was on drums at the time.

Before Acosta decided to leave the band after a year, he introduced Micah to Tapia and Huerta who are presently part of the band.

Still Cross has been through lots of ups and downs over the years, but are confidently stable now with the members and continue to play shows opening for bands such as Stryper, Puddle of Mudd, Get Scared, Famous Last Words, and The Iron Maidens, just to name a few. They set their focus and vision towards touring and reaching out to many with their intense, telling music.
